“Hi Simon,” an email from Guy, a wibbler.com visitor, started the other day, “Just a quick question: Is that St. Aubins harbour?” He means, of course, the picture at the top there, of the little 8 year old boy (*blush*) and the picturesque harbour. I remember the picture being taken, and me bursting into tears afterwards (I hated having my picture taken; how times have changed…), but none of us could remember where on earth we were. A quick “google” for St Aubin’s harbour reveals this watercolour and this picture, confirming the location as St Aubin’s harbour in Jersey. Thanks, Guy, for solving an old family mystery!
Guy is your dad’s name. I smell a rat.
You should try cleaning your house.
With reference to “Guy”, it is in fact a completely different, out-of-the-blue person. With, presumably, an intimate knowledge of Jersey
Glad to know that even the Chief Blogger can input twice – I thought it was just me!!! However, I remember having a splendid meal at the restaurant that was heavily frequented by Bergerac at the time. The Crustaceans…!
